About Me
Welcome to Connected Slumber Baby/Toddler Sleep Support! My nameis Aileen and I'm so glad you found this page. If you are looking for support with your baby or toddler's sleep, but do no want to do any form of sleep training, then you have come to the right place!

First, here is some information about me. I am a certified Baby-Led Sleep and Well-Being Specialist, a teacher with 12 years of experience and a mother of two little ones: a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl.

Here is what led me to the .
(To learn more about this approach, click button) When I had my son, it was clear from the start that he was not sleeping as much as the books said he was supposed to. I didn’t want to use traditional sleep training methods, but I wasn’t sure what else to do. That was until I found the Baby-Led Sleep approach, created by Lauren Heffernan. I decided to take one of Lauren’s sleep courses and felt immediately empowered through the knowledge I gained about developmentally normal expectations for sleep as well as strategies I could use to change what was no longer working for me. Then, when my daughter was born, it was clear she is a better sleeper overall. The first couple months were relatively easy as she would sleep anywhere and for long stretches! As she grew, she has gone through various sleep challenges, but due to my training, I am not stressing out over it, due to the confidence and knowledge it has given me.

This brings me to why I decided to become certified. I wanted to pass on the knowledge I have gained to other parents along with providing them emotional support, as I know how challenging it is when you are sleep deprived and feeling like you are doing something wrong!

As a certified Baby-Led Sleep and Well-Being Specialist, my goal is to help my clients with their family wellness needs by providing the guidance and resources needed to understand the root cause of any sleep issues and co-create a sleep plan that works for you, always keeping the attachment relationship between you and your child at the forefront. I will never use any form of sleep training but will guide you through how to make parent-led changes while supporting your child’s emotions.

I am also very passionate about providing parents reassurance that their baby’s sleep is normal at the same time as identifying any potential causes for sleep disruptions that should be further investigated. I am very empathetic and I know what it is like to feel overwhelmed by societal pressures put on new parents when it comes to sleep so my top goal is to empower you that you know your baby best and to relieve any stress you have about sleep so you can focus on being the best parent you can be.
